Saferub consists of a World Health Organization (WHO) recommended formula with added emollient and moisturizer.

The main ingredient 75% v/v isopropyl alcohol (IPA) is highly effective against bacteria, fungi and viruses. This concentration of IPA is highly effective in breaching the bacterial cell wall. The presence of water slows down evaporation and increases the surface contact time with the membrane, thus increasing the overall effectiveness.

Effective hygiene is the easiest and safest preventive measure taken to reduce various infections.

• Applying an alcohol-based hand rub to the surface of hands (including liquids, gels, and foams), or
